You are going to dip everything into this super-delicious sweet and tangy Khajur Imli chutney. This highly addictive chutney can be serve with paratha, samosas or mixed in bhel.


  • 1 cup dates
  • 2 tbsp tamarind (Imli)
  • 1/2 cup jaggery
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • Pinch of asafetida (hing)
  • Salt to taste

  • Wash dates and tamarind.
  • Combine the dates, tamarind and the remaining ingredients and 1 1/2 cup of water in a saucepan and simmer for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Cool slightly and blend in a BOSS Excel Dx Mixer Grinder to make smooth paste and strain the mixture using a sieve.
  • Your chutney is ready. Use it as required.
